History Behind Motown
Motwon Records was originally a group of labels based in the USA and founded by a man Berry Gordy Jr, when January 1959 had come round it was know as Tamla Records, and the company was then grouped together as Motown record corp in the 1960’s. Now you can find the headquarters in New York city where the company has been made into a Motown republic group and now operates universal Motown sounds.

When motown records was released it gave African Americans a big break not only in the world of music but for the African America community, where many people began to accept that African American are the same as western artists.
Motown has a soul based sound which people found unique and amazing and to this very day some of the best must come from the genre of where Motown came from and later influenced many pop singers to go down the same soulful path.
When you think Motown you instantly think America and the blues which can also be see as a form of Motown by many people who enjoy the tones and chords released from the greatest soul singers out there from Smokey Robinson to Michael Jackson.
The Motown CD's Sound
The music was directed towards the same genre as what the pop music was and Motown came up with a specialized type of soul music know as “The Motown Sound” which had amazing bass lines and strucktured melodys and chords, in direct response to gospel music , but the technical side of things where to be desired.
Each back ground vocal had to fit in its exact place just to sound right each vocal melody bouced off each other in perfect harmony and keeping it completely simple.
Now in the 21st centry we still listen to the great motown classics of the late 50’s given to us by Berry Gordy, hit after hit have been released in hope to recapture the music which proved to be popular and prevent a lot of racist activity.
